ObjectNow is a Scotland – based platform designed to empower individuals, communities, and grassroots campaign groups to effectively object to large-scale energy developments across the United Kingdom.
From wind farms and solar parks to BESS facilities and pylons, our mission is to ensure that every citizen can make their voice heard in the planning process—without being overwhelmed by complexity, cost, or time.
We are a team of dedicated professionals with extensive experience in I.T., software engineering, and systems development, combined with a deep commitment to environmental protection and community rights. Our founders have worked in tech for decades and bring a wealth of real-world expertise to the platform. This unique blend of technical skill and civic purpose has allowed us to create a tool that bridges the gap between complex planning systems and everyday campaigners.

ObjectNow was born out of necessity. In 2024, we supported Hands Off Our Hills, a grassroots campaign group based in Newton Stewart, Dumfries and Galloway, during their objection to the Glenvernoch Wind Farm proposal. The impact of our early prototype system was immediate — dramatically increasing the number and quality of objections submitted. Campaigners across the region quickly began asking who had built the system and whether it could be used for their own cases.
Recognising the demand, the original developer teamed up with collaborators who shared the same vision: to create a powerful, scalable, and user-friendly platform that would help level the playing field for communities facing industrial-scale development proposals. Thus, ObjectNow was formally launched — built in Scotland, but designed for campaigners across the UK.
Since our official launch, ObjectNow has achieved remarkable success in a very short time. We’ve supported solo campaigners and grassroots groups from Scotland to southern England, helping them not only increase the volume of objections submitted, but significantly improve their effectiveness and technical strength. Councils, the Energy Consents Unit, and other regulatory bodies have recognised our system as a valid and compliant method for lodging individual planning objections.
We’ve already seen numerous campaigns report objection numbers in the hundreds or thousands — results that were previously unimaginable for small, under-resourced groups. In many cases, what once took teams of volunteers days to compile now takes less than an hour with ObjectNow.
At the heart of ObjectNow is our advanced AI infrastructure. We use powerful large language models (LLMs) specifically trained on UK, Scottish, and Welsh planning legislation, environmental regulations, and technical development documents. Our system can analyse and digest complex Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), planning statements, and technical drawings — tasks that would typically take a human many hours or even days to fully understand.
With this capability, ObjectNow can produce legally grounded, policy-specific, and site-relevant objection letters, tailored to each user’s concerns. Whether you’re worried about wildlife, landscape, flooding, cumulative impact, or public safety, our system will highlight the most appropriate grounds for objection and help you articulate them with professional clarity.
And while we’d love to share every detail of how our system works, some elements must remain confidential. To protect the integrity of the platform and prevent exploitation or interference, certain proprietary methods are kept private. This ensures ObjectNow remains a safe, secure, and resilient tool for campaigners who need it most.

ObjectNow operates in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. All personal data collected through our platform is handled with the utmost care, securely stored, and used only for the purposes of generating and submitting planning objections. We do not sell, share, or repurpose user data, and we never will.
